A broker is just in the business of selling warranties while a middleman sells warranties in addition to their main business such as automobile dealers, banks and credit unions.

Why You Shouldn't Buy From A Broker Or Middleman

You need to make sure they send your payment to the warranty company and that coverage is actually put in force.
Warranty brokers and middleman often look for warranties with the least coverage so they can have higher markups, and therefore, bigger profits.
Many of the companies they sell warranties for don't handle their claims in-house, so now you have another party involved to service your claims.
Warranty contracts are written with complex language intended to confuse you.  This is typical of a warranty that offers very little coverage with a lot of loop holes that allow the warranty company to deny repair claims.
